83 300D 240D 4 speed.
I've listed my 4 speed OM617 swapped 240D for sale on Craigslist. Looking to make room for another project. I've got about $4000 in receipts for new parts. Runs and drives great. Paint and body is rough with a lot of dents, chips and scratches. It does polish up nice as you can see in the pics. Paint and body would have been my next task.

I'm interested and I only live about 30 minutes away. I've replied via craigslist and PM here. Do you still have it or has it already sold? Thanks

I am also curious ...
I'm actually slowly in the process of making a sort of "peachparts Kelly blue book" and getting info and final selling prices of our old Mercedes. For now it's just the dieael w123 / w126 era like maybe 77-87 ish. So like 300d 240d 300sd etc Because a few things are happening in the world of selling these cars. Firstly people are going off the stupid NADA prices which are making people thibk their POS 500k rust bucket 300d is worth $6500 so everyone on CL is posting these things around 5k - 6k and they seem to just sit there forever. Plus I thibk your average hipster is now losing interest in these cars, like they once were, especially in the veggie oil days (recession ) And the second sad problem is that people like us who love these cars and put our heart and soul into them don't want to admit that the market has fallen off and our pride and joy is really only worth 1500 bucks.... It's only worth what people will buy it for right?? Basically long story short I want to compile an accurate list of what each model is actually selling for and how long it takes to find a buyer

I decided to hold off on selling the car. I've got so much work and time into it and felt bad when I had a serious buyers looking at it. I might sell my wagon come spring instead. The wagon is super nice but I haven't had to put hours of labor into it like this car. I just don't need two W123s around with garage space for only one and I'm itching to get some new toy like a long wheel base 80's G Class or Range Rover Classic.
