Installing GPS (Navigation)
 

Hi all,

I am a new member and have a 99 MS320. I would like to know if I can install a navigation system myself. I was considering getting one on EBay or some other source. Is it possible to do the wiring and the installation? If so, how difficult is it and is it worth it?

With a 99 you need the "above dash" system. You could probably do it...well, maybe, depends on your skill level. If you're REALLY good you can handle it. Main problem is the system doesn't come with installation instructions, the dealer would almost have to provide you with the installation instructions.
It's an "OK" system, for the price you'd probably end up paying you may be better off with the new DVD based system(non OEM) rather than a MB unit.
