A/C fuse blowing on ML320 and unusual noise in dash

I know this has been covered, but my problem seems to be a little different. I replaced the 30 amp fuse which blew and the A/C at first did not work. I then flip the temp control to heat and then back to cold range and the A/C has since worked again. However, when I move the temp control to maximum cold, there is a clacking sound that comes from the dash. If I adjust to the mid range cold, then the clack-clack sound goes away? I wonder what is causing this sound? Any idea would be appreciated.

What year is your ML?

I know there is a fix to correct a factory harness defect related to the aux climate control fans operating during idle. They systematically blow fuses.

Gilly can probably interject at this point... ;)

Still having clack-clack noise in air vent

I still have a clack-clack noise that is coming from the center vent. It is esp. when the A/C is set to the cold setting and not at the hot setting. Any thoughts? The A/C still blows cold but with the noise as mentioned.

One of the servo-motors that runs the flaps is stripped. Going to have to find out why it would strip, something may be jammed (a flap).
