Sunroof problem ML320

2000 ML320: The rails that flip up the wing at the front of the sunroof have broken. We hardly ever use the sunroof and I can't believe this has already malfunctioned. Any ideas on how to fix cheaply or should I just remove it all together?

Check out my recent thread. I had this happen this summer and the fix was no big deal...and yes, my sunroof doesn't get used that much either...

Mine got broken also last summer and I simply removed the other rail. The wing never worked well so you need a wind deflector anyway.

Wind deflector does a marvy job of suppressing wind noise! Easy install too!

Still, I like to keep as many pieces as intact as possible...especially if i ever plan to sell the vehicle...
