'99 ML 320 fuse box blower motor

The fuse box blower motor is loud after cold start when temps are below 40F. It was replaced three years ago by a dealer for the same reason. Do I really need to replace it again, and just live with the noise, or do I need to replace it..., and perhaps do it myself for $153.00?
