Is there any interest in renting the factory spring compressor which is used to remove the rear coil spring when installing a new shock?
I believe I can persuade one of the Mercedes parts supplies to purchase one and rent it out. They already rent a MB compressor, it's a Klann, but it doesn't work on the MLs. They rent the other one for $100 for 10 business days.
If you are interested in renting the proper tool to do the job in the safest manner possible please respond here.
I have no business or other relationship with the parts supplier. I just want him to buy the tool so I can rent it.
Below is a diagram of the tool.
