ml320 center console window switch
1 Attachment(s)
my son pressed too hard on the front window switch and consequently the front portion of the switchplate assembly has broken loose inside the panel (the upper/back is still affixed firmly).
Wondering if I epoxyed a flat piece of metal...say a 1/2" washer (or two) across both sides of the joint if they'd hold (get 'er done)? I've only briefly and blindly felt up beneath the assembly. thoughts? |
If you have felt underneath the switch control plate you are almost ready to take it out and have a good look. I have done this and it is not a difficult task. The following link gives excellent detail about removing the panel, plus how to repair a nonfunctioning switch.

I recently purchased on ebay what was advertised as a new window switch asssembly, in the opened mb box. I installed it & it worked fine on all the windows except the one that didn't move in the first place- the problem turned out to be a broken window regulator, so I do not need the assembly. If you are looking to purchase a replacement part, please let me know.
