Need info on '98 ML 320 cv joint
 

The drivers front wheel has a grinding / ratcheting sound that I'm told is typical of a failing CV joint. My '98 ML has 105K. I don't have a manual so I'm looking for help on removal and replacement. I would appreciate any photos and/or procedures for R&R along with a difficultly assessment. I'm a fairly good home mechanic but I've never done a CV joint before and without an manual I'm not sure if or where to start.

You might want to consider getting Alldata DIY, I have it for the ML and it's ok. The days of actual written factory workshop manuals seem to exist no more.
