ML Service

Recently when I start my ML a little wrench with a -100 appears in the mileage window. It goes out after about one minute and returns to the mileage. Does this mean it's time for service? Thanks for any help

If you want to know how crooked a stick is, just lay a straight one next to it.

It's not the tall sails that bring a ship to the port of destination, but the unseen wind.

Sorry, but you are kidding right? You have in your signature two MB's that are FSS enabled and you've had your ML for 44K miles...

Sorry, but ever read the manual?

Do a search on FSS on this forum...It's your maintenance indicator telling you how many miles BEYOND you are.

Yep, it gives you about a 1,000 mile warning, and then when you pass it, it goes negative.

If you do the work yourself, you can reset this on your own...the manual tells you how to do this...

Hi Lebenz.

Since my 98 E320 got totaled last Jan. 2004, I wasn't going to slide, slip on snow or ice this winter, so I traded my 95 E320 Wagon on the 2000 ML about three months ago. I paid $19,500.00 with a trade of $8500 for the wagon - which came to $11,000 money outlay for the ML. It had 43000 miles and is in perfect condition. (sun roof, six cd changer, heated seats, etc.) All mb service records, recalls etc. have been included and done. It came with a two year warranty which can be used at any MB dealership. I thought is was a good deal to pass. I really love the ML. I got 17" 7 spook wheels that were taken off a 2000 ML420 on ebay and put new tires on them. The ML goes anywhere.
