ML320 REMOTE KEY: both frequent lose synchronization
Hi guys, found this site today, passing thru and good input on some problems (that i don't have for now, but expect to). I have an ML320, 1999 bought in Canada and last fall I moved in Europe (I feel is important to mention, somebody told me it could be some ' auto computer learning').Last month, motor starts but no ignition, seems the anti-theft device was activated. I took the car to a local delaer, not MB, turn around for 3-4 days, nothing to do, all checked (mechanic things) all ok. After that period, put key in, motor start, ignition too - miracle. Was ok for 4-5 days, than the cycle started over, same story. Motor start no ignition 3-4 days. Then all suddenly all Ok, for a few days again. I went to MB dealer and, via the computer soft, there is a kind of non-synchronization between the remote and the computer. i found on the net an internal MB document (took the thread title from there) and they are talking about ''In cases where one or both remote control keys are inoperative, or frequently lose synchronization, please order repair kit 163 760 24 06. Please observe the important notes below. This repair kit includes a new All-Activity Module, a new set of (3) vehicle keys, minor electrical and mechanical parts, an updated owner's manual page and complete work instructions''...Is there a simple way to bypass the stupid remote key or do a synchronization or a something to reset all and the AAM could reconigze the key?
Other problems didn't have with the car. Oh yes, code error 1 on the CD changer. Useless...
