ML320 Lurches

My 2000 ML lurches when you drop into gear, either Drive or Reverse. It seems to drive okay the issue is only when shifting out of Park. Even with my foot on the brake, the care will jump forward or reverse. Any ideas...I had transimission work done a year ago.
