Alignment

Is the dealer the only technically capable place to take my '99 ML320 for alignment?

I am getting my 3rd set of tires @ 90K and I am still getting my rear tires eaten up on the outside. The previous set of tires were purchased at the dealer with alignment for the same reason on the original tires.

So it's beign aligned twice at the dealer with same results all along.

Thanks,

Rene

Mine was all good till last year when I told the dealer to do an alignment. 5000 miles after the alignment, the rear tires are wearing quicker on the shoulder. It never happened before. I checked with other non-dealer shops in my area, and non of them wanted to mess with the ML. must be a $*&^**#^$* to perform alignment on the ML.

I have had a similiar problem. Local MB dealer did an alignment after a minor accident.

I then bought new tires and started getting excessive wear on the inside of all four tires. After showing the MB dealer both the old tires that had started wearing, after the alignment, and the new ones they did a second alignment, but denied being the cause.

The new set of tires continued to wear and had to be replaced.

I am now on the second set of new tires and paid the dealer to do another alignment. Now I am getting wear on the outside edge, not the inside edge of all four tires. Although the wear does not seem to be as excessive as it was when on the inside edges.

The dealer continues to claim it is my driving habits, or bad tires or anthing except their fault.

My tire dealer claims it is a bad alignment.
