No Problems for Months - Now squeeky strut. prices ?

My ML320 has treated me famously for 9 months now. No problems at all except squeeky left front strut. I do have to admit from March to 8-23-05 today most my miles are on my motorcycles.
No front struts are for sale on eBay this week.
Only the left squeeks..
At the risk of sounding lazy, 15,000 miles ago I replaced only the left rear shock as thats all that squeeked. So any suggestions on stock or after market for the front ? and where the good prices are ?

Are you positive that it's the strut making noise? It is common for the lower ball joints in these things to squeak. I'd spray some wd40 on the thing and let it sit for an hour or so, then see if it still squeeks. Just a thought.

FWIW.........
Peel the lower joint boot away and squirt in a little engine oil....sometimes WD40 makes the things squeak LOUDER....ask me how I know !

no noise / /

Well, found my old post and WD cured the squeek.

Not the handling isnt so good. 135,000 on origional struts.

So again I ask, best deal around for front struts for the ML320 ?

I am a do it yourselfer.

The fronts are just basic shocks.

Arvin-Mentor were the original brand. I would go with Sachs/Boge OR Bilsteins.

Monroe

I found Monroe's for under $50 each at Advance Auto.
Thanks.

I put the ML320 on Craigslist last night $6500.

Its starting to rust in 5 different places or I would keep it.
