paging Gilly!
I'm replacing the fuel filter on my 02 ml 320 and I can't seem to figure out how to remove the connectors from the fuel filter. How do I undo the clips? Thanks

there are a pair of pliers that i use for the job, i have never tried it with out them, but i do know even with the correct tool they can sometimes be dfficult. they are mb number 163-589-00-37-00
be sure you system doesn't need the filter modification, that can be determined if your original filter is shorter than the new one. |

You'll see the square insert inside the raised area on the side of the hose end, these are pressed down to release the clip. Anything that would aid you in pressing in on this square section should help. The filter is only due every 60K so it'd be tough to justify buying the pliers, and you may find something that'd work as easily as those. But also; does this have the new style line and filter, and if so I think the hoses disconnect easier on the new style tan older style, although I never replaced the FACTORY long style filter, the ends may be like the older short filter lines.
Gilly Sorry I'm not around as much as I should, got alot of work going on my Sprite, also eBaying alot to PAY for the Sprite, and of course Open Discussion to deal with.
