I'm normally pretty good with mechanical things. I was actually trained (many years ago) at a GM Training Center and worked as an auto mechanic at a dealer. I also own a '80 TR-7 convertible, which proves I can do vehicle maintenance. Now, however, I'm stumped.

I'm trying to put a new bulb in for the passenger side stop light of my '99 ML320 and I am unable to remove the plastic taillight assembly. I removed the two obvious nuts in the channel of the hatch, but there seems to be something else holding it in place from the inside. I'm afraid to pull too hard for fear of breaking the plastic, but I can't find any other fasteners any place.

HELP!
