low range questions on the ML

Help can't find my manual anymore.

Is it o.k. to engage the low range on a ML on dry pavement to drive it for a few feets (less than 200 feet). What does the manual say.

I am asking because I heard that I should engage the low range once in a while. I just want to make sure I can do that on dry pavement.

thanks

blau

What about the G. Could I engage the differencial locks to excercise them on dry pavement if I am in a big parking lot and drive straight without turning the stearing wheel.

thanks again

blau
