33" tires
While Iver suggests above that a 33x12.5 will fit I have heard differently. They will fit in the wheel wells with the factory flares, this much is true. They will rub however under certain conditions of steering lock and suspension compression. They contact the front frame cross tube. So people trim this tube without ill effects. I would reccomend running a taller spring. What does fit I am told, is the 33x9.5-15 tire size offered by BF Goodrich in both the AT and MT treads. I am running a 265/75-16 on my '95 G. This tire measures ~32" tall and 10.5 inches wide, works like a charm. I may go 285/75-16 next time. This would be 33x11 which should work, it seems the width is what causes the interference when it exceeds 11.5". There are custom rims out there that allow 35x12.5-15 tires. Just remember that increasing tire size on already underpowered and underbraked vehicles will only exacerbate those problems. Brent
