ML 320 Fan Wiring Harness replacement.

The original wiring harness on the ML 320 has been upgraded. Mine is still the original. Has anyone replaced the harness by themselves? The price of the harness is not too high, but the labor costs make it expensive.

Use search function and type in "wiring harness". You will probably find what your're looking for.

very easy, I did it myself in about an hour. Too bad, I did it in fall and couldn't quite test the new wiring. Be sure the buy the 40A fuse from the dealer. It was very hard to find from the low rant auto stores. I searched a radius of 25 miles from where I live and I cannot believe none of the popular auto chain stores stock the 40A fuse (the medium sized one).

Wiring Harness

Thanks! What is your level of expertise? I have worked on cars all my life and worked as an Electronics Engineer but the parts house told me to have it done by a Pro. They include the fuse with the kit.

I have a Ph.D. in chemistry, working on the ML is just for fun and trying to save a few $$$. No, the part guy is just trying to scare you, it is very easy, follow the thread that is posted by another forum member. Disconnet the battery is the key when working with the fuse box. I think I spent more time trying to buy that stupid 40A fuse from local stores than I would have spent on doing the harness.
