2000 ML430 Transmission Fluid change? Trans cooler lines?
Ok, I've read a lot of post that said not to change the fluid. I have 110k miles on my 2000 ML430. I think the transmission cooler lines might be leaking just a little bit... I can see the lines are a little wet, but not enough to drip onto the ground.
I want to make sure there is indeed no Torque Converter drain on a 2000 ML430? Anyone knows? Also, if no TC drain, how much trans fluid do I need to buy if I am replacing the line and draining the trans fluid? I just don't want to buy 8 litres or fluid and only using 4 litres... By the way, how much are the transmission cooler lines anyways? |
On the late 99 & later Benzes their isn't a torque converter drain plug..
WE flush the trans cooler & lines after changing the fluid in the pan.. Remove the return line & catch about a QT of old fluid.. Total fluid needed will be around 5 qts that way. |
