98 ml320 crash - how do i remove front bumper cover?
I hope someone can advise me how to do this - In searching I found several references to how simple it is, but no specific instructions. This weekend a wayward tree ran into my vehicle during a Vermont snowstorm (it remains to be seen if the frame was damaged, and the body shop will examine the car later this week). Fortunately, the impact was where the steel bumper meets the railing below the passenger headlight, and the hood and engine compartment each is intact and the airbags didn't even go off. The vehicle (and its occupants) are grateful for the excellence of MB's design and crashworthiness.

I've also got a small video showing the rear removal:
ftp://guest:w163@www.mercedes-world.com/users/guest/VIDEOS%20-%20Information%20CD/Bumper%20Rear%20Removal.MPG PS: If you have problems , uncheck your "passive ftp" option in the IE (tools-internet settings, Advanced) Here is some pics of the Front removal Last edited by pleubner; 03-04-2006 at 09:32 AM. |
