Unused harness on back of switch controls?

While I was hooking up the fm-modulor for my DVD, I reached my hand from the back to the radio... near the bottom, I felt 2 harnesses that weren't plugged in to anywhere... Anyone knows what these harness are for? They are underneath the radio and behind the fan/temp/air vent switch... this is for my 2000 ML430... any help would be appreciated

The ML was built & shipped to MANY countries other than the USA..

Having the correct connectors in the harness for OPTIONAL or standard equiptment is cheaper that making up different wiring harnesses.

Exactly, things like: Navigation, Bose system, built in factory cell phone display, and the like could all be used by these plugs. I had the same ones in my 99 430 (discovered when I removed factory cell and Bose head unit).
