All hail the G-Wagen.

Its cool. I found this when looking for an SL video. Funny, the G is pulling the landcruiser through the snow like its nothing.

I saw a diesel G wagon convertable in Atlanta the other day. The owner came out of the store and we talked briefly. He said he thought they were only around 60 convertables like it in the US.

He's probably pretty close on the Cabrio part, but not with diesel engines. Probably less than 5-10 diesel Cabrios.

In Norway where I live. 99% of the G`s running arund are diesel`s

so it is a difference in what country you live in

Unlike the venerable FJ series Toyota TLC which come with rear diff lock, the Prado is just a mall cruiser with no diff locks and AWD, compared to that, the G/Puch/Gurkha all have front and rear diff locks which make them venerable off road plus they have more clearance, all that make em the last true remaining 4 wheel drive used for utility rather than posing.

What's the fuel economy on those diesel G's? I saw a comparison article in a car mag recently between the G500 and the Hummer. I know the Hummer is a diesel guzzler. Don't remember about the G500.
