The ML window switches are somewhat "fragile" as they were designed to be SOFT-TOUCH operated. They require replacement frequently if you operate them normally. Use a very light touch & you won't have that problem.

Check this site for your own repair work. It took about 45 minutes to do ours slowly and deliberately.

window switches

No problem.

I've had to replace the switches three times on my ML.
You can find the part online for around $45-50.

It only took me a half hour max to change it out...not rocket science.

The local dealer wants around $160 for it. Is there a good place to order it for less that can be recommended?

Thanks.

Ask MB Roadside Assistance what they'd want. I replaced it myself (following the instructions in the above link), but talking to the service man from RA, he said he replaced them all the time. Maybe not worth your time DIY.

When my ml320 was under warrantee, RA replaced it easily. If window is stuck open it is an emergengy with susceptibility to weather or theft.
