Oil Change

I have just bought a 2002 ML320. I want to have the oil changed and have a couple of questions.
1. What oil do you recommend for a Minnesota climate?
2. Should I bring it to a dealer for the change, can I do it myself, or should I bring it to a fast change place?
3. What oil filter? I have read the fleece ones are the ones most of you use?

Thanks in advance for your advice!! I am liking it so far. I am still looking for a single CD unit to throw in the radio. Anyone have a spare?
Mark

Those questions depend on how frequent you decide to change the oil!

If you do regular changes at 5,000-7500 miles then use the standard oil filter.

IF you decide to go with the suggested 10,000 + changes then the fleece filter is the only way to go...either way use either 0W-40 or 5W-30 synthetic oil.

Don't use "cheap" oil OR oil filters!
