Question '98 Ml 320 Help

my sunroof cover was somehow slid in front of the actual window, and I can't seem to push it back. The problem is that this doesn't let the sunroof close completely, only slide fully forward but then not sink back into place, does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this. Also, for an oil change, is it necessary to go to a dealer, since the Check Engine and oil lamp lights have appeared on the dash. Thanks!

If you slide the glass part back about halfway, then (if you have a skinny arm) pull down slightly on the inside shade and put your arm back there and push downon the shade, you should be able to get the shade slid back where it should be.
If you WANT to change your oil, go ahead and do it and there are instructions in the owners manual on how to reset the oil change reminder (FSS or Flexible Service System in your owners manual). Or else a competent shop can change it, whoever you are used to do it for you, the important thing is to get it done and to learn how to reset the indicator.
The check engine light is a seperate matter but should be investigated soon at a competent repair shop, preferrable one specializing in newer European vehicles or a dealer.
