I wrecked my ML few weeks ago and just got it back from the body shop. Everything looks good, except that I found the power steering cooler (a long loop with heat sink) was dangling (it is bolted onto the front bumper subframe, by only one bolt). My question is, Is this supposed to be the place the hang the cooler? I can tell that there are two holes on both end of the cooler which, I think, is supposed to be bolted on both sides. Any comments are appreciated.
thanks much steve |

I have no experience with the ML, but the power steering coolers (simple loop) I have seen in a MB are bolted on the loop side and on the loop to hose side.
greetingz,

I think it goes in the front of the radiator just behind the hood grille.
There should be two plastic jaws that hold it on. The body shop probably didn't want to wait on the specail order parts.
