CPS, The item

I picked up my ordered CPS for my 98 ML320. Attempted to install same, all was going great until the internal grooves didn't line up. The old ones were offset one way and the new ones were offset the other way. The part didn't mate with the harness.

I took the part back to the automotive store so they could order the matching part, but they can't because the guy that can do this was off.

I want to know how to determine to find the right part, cause I'm going to call the store Friday from work to expedite this as it takes roughly two days to get delivery. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

A thought...grinding down the grooves/slots/keyways?

Thanks in advance

Alwaaays have your vin number with you! There are lots of parts that get changed during the model year and you need the chassis number to get the right one.

There are 2 different sensors for the M112/113 engines.

The only difference is the connector!
