ML Window

Morning,
I have a 1998 ML 320 and the driver's window has stopped working. I took the door cover off to look but I'm puzzled. The motor runs up and down and I can pull the window up or down. The track is still connected to the motor but the motor rotates behind the track (not tight enough) Is there a way to tighten the track to the drive gear? It looks like there are 3 or so small holes on the track that might have rivets in them to hold the track to the drive gear.

Any help would be great

perhaps your console switch needs replacement if it was never replaced, common issue on the early model years.

Thanks but thats not it. The switch works and the motor turns but there is a problem transfering the movement from the motor to the window lift. I'll post some pics later
