How do I reset MCS WAIT screen

I lost power in my 2000 ML320 because of a bad power connection. I entered wrong code 3 times to my MCS after the power was back and the MCS shows "WAIT" blue screen. I looked up internet and some said that wait 24 hours and it will reset so I can enter the code again. I have waited more than 24 hours and it is still the same. Any idea before I bring it to the dealer? Thanks.

oh yeah, you could pull it out and "reboot it" unplug the wires and replug- it comes out easy with a swiss army knife on each side- i used to do one side at a time-

there's 2 slots at the bottom right and bottom left of the unit- should come right out. you'll have to hold the unit on your leg while you're fumbling with the wires......hope it isn't fried----

Before I got to it, I left the MCS on for not more than 30 min. in the WAIT mode and it was magically reset!! I was able to enter the correct code and get it to work again. Thanks for the advice anyway.
