new to this. just replaced crankshaft sensor but check engine light still comes on and gas cap is secure. any ideas what else? also where can we get an analyzer or diagnostic to check on car as it seems we now will be repairing as much as poss.

Could be an O2 Sensor. Advance Auto Parts and some other national chain parts stores will scan it for free. My 2 cents.

You drive up to any Autozone and they will read the code and if it is generic they will tell you what it could be, and reset it, too I think PepBoys and Checker will do it for free too.
