New plugs, New Battery, MPG down

Recently I had an "A" service done to my ML 320 and had new plugs installed at almost 100k miles. A short time later the battery went dead and had to be replaced. Recently returned from a trip to IN. and my MPG was down. Is there anything I needed to do after the battery change? I don't think the new plugs would cause this.

The computer is adaptive. you need to drive the truck to allow the computer to re-adapt after the battery replacement.

New Plugs, New Battery, MPG down

Thanks for you reply. I was told that before, but have driven the truck from the Dallas/Ft.Worth area to IN.,(almost 1000 miles) and back since the new battery and have just returned from a round trip to Jackson, AL, a 1200 mile trip. I thought that much driving would get the Computer back in tune. The mileage on both trips was about the same. The truck does not idle as smoothly as it did before the plug change. What now!

Thanks again, Dick C!
