What do I want to know about a '79 cab chassi?
 

I just called a guy who is advertising a 79 mercedes cab-chassi. 5 cylinder/5 speed.. I think he said it was about 35K GVRW or so.. Not that I need one, but the advertised price was 1000, and on the phone he said it would go for 5 hundred... for that kind of money I may want some more yard art... or to put the motor in an old dodge truck I have here...

I believe he said it had 84,000 on the odometer, although that is rather low sounding.. any and all opinions welcome.

What's a "cab chassi"??

In my mind it is a cab, and rear wheels, allowing you to put your choice of body on it.. such as a dump bed, (this was a roll back car carrier) a box, Or something else.. on it.. most medium duty trucks come as such.. I believe.
