ML seat short

The front seats on 98 ml320 operate when doors are open or key in ignition. The passenger seat stopped working recently, each seat has its own fuse and pass fuse blows whether doors are open or closed, and if key is in, or not in the ignition.

I found that the fuse does not blow if I unplug the wiring harness under the seat.

Looking under the seat I don't see any obvious short but do not know how to remove the seat and what to look for. The side plastic cover where the seat switch is located has two screws but it seems to be one piece across the front, and I also cannot see how to remove the under-seat storage drawer.

Thoughts??
