scraping noise and a few problems

Hi everyone,
I have a ml320 1998 and recently just had the rear shocks done at the garage and since then the rear seems to sit a bit high. I measured the height of both sides and one side measures the the arch to the floor 33 inches and the other side 33 1/2 inches is this the right height?
Also when driving along after 10mins there is a weird scraping noise coming from the rear passenger side but its not the brakes or rotors and it only sounds bad while driving along. Also while all the wheels on floor if i push and pull the wheel i can feel play and a loud banging banging noise any ideas?

I have a 99 ML 320 with about 220K miles and I just measured to the edge of the wheel well for you. 32 3/8" on one side and 32 7/8" on the other. (I was surprised there was a 1/2" difference.)

I replaced the rear shocks two years ago and had quite an ordeal, but finally got them right. Read this thread. Lot's of good info. I posted a summary of my experience on page 6 of the thread.
