Looking at a 2001 ML 320
 

My neighbor lady is looking at a 2001 ML 320 with 80 K miles. She of course knows I drive these cars and wants a "common issues or problems" list. All I know about ML's you could put in a thimble.

Issues or watch out fors?
Expected mileage?
Value/price?

Well, the 2000-on models are much better than the earlier ones, so she's on the right track.

Biggest thing to advise her of is she's buying a car that will be a failure for her unless she commits to having it regularly serviced by a good dealer or good independent mechanic that has Mercedes experience.

Have her get a PPI.

I just traded my 2001 ML 320 for the 2005 ml 350 and my 2001 was just great i had no problems with it and i had 180000 miles on it with no problems i just wanted to get a newer one and i found this 2005 with only 30000 miles on it and i hope i can get as many miles out of this one as my 2001. what do you guys think.
