I have the original Recall Notice from April 2005 as a PDF file. It's too large to post here. If you'd like a copy, PM me with your email address; and I'll send it to you as an email attachment.

Are you not in the US? Has the work already been done by a previous owner?

PDF sent. Take it with you to your dealer.

yes i am in the us.and im not sure weather the recall was done or not,the lady from MB only told me that there was no open recalls.if the recall has been done and the part failed again, isnt that still covered?

The only part numbers (on the part) covered under recall are 112-035-00-00 & 112-035-06-00.

If either number is on your balancer then IT would be covered.

BTW the part lists for $65 & takes about 1.5-2 hrs to install..requires a special tool.

And determining this requires a physical inspection. It certainly can't be done by looking it up on the computer database, unless. . . . . . . . . . . . . his VIN falls outside of those included in the recall.
