On my 2000 ML. When I use the remote keys to unlock the trunk. Doe that unluck the gas door. My does not do that. Is that normal.

Must be normal............................................. Just went out and checked my 2000 ML and the gas door stays locked when the trunk is unlocked with the remote.

IIRC, if you unlock the drivers door that also unlocks the gas door. Press it again and it unlocks the other doors incl. the rear hatch. I think if you JUST unlock the hatch the gas flap stays locked.

I think if you just unlock the hatch the four doors remain locked, too.
