2007 ML350 oil change

About to do my first oil change on my 2007 ml 350 at around 35k (bought it used at 22k, so right on schedule). Found the oil filter under the engine cover up top (just like on my old ML430) but, I was wondering if the draining of the oil should be done through a drain plug in the pan down below (is there one?) or with a mityvac up top?

Oh, and it is still 0W40 Mobil 1 for the refill, right?

Thanks.

Use the MityVac.

Oil Change

Mobil 1; 0W 40 is correct for my '99 430 with 145,000.

Suction from the top is fine. That's how the dealer does it. I did it the old fashion way from the bottom for several years until I justified a mightyvac for the boat and car.
