A-pillar removal
 

Does this part just snap in? I need to remove so that I can re-glue the cloth covering on it that has come loose on my 1999 ML320 that I just bought.

Yes but it's really a bear to pull out, you would pull it "in", like towards the opposite side of the truck. The metal clips have been known to fly off. Can be a hard reinstall too.

I have had these things glued several times over the last six years and I am really disgusted that there is not a permanent solution to such a "simple" part. If it wasn't for these pillars bulging or peeling, the truck would look decent on the inside.

Did MB improve these pillars on the later models? Can I switch out my two with some from a later model if I can match the color?
