Instrunment Light Bulb
 

Hello All,

I have a bulb out in my instrunment cluster ('01 ML 320). I ordered the only replacement bulb that fastlane had (or anyone else for that matter) and once I pulled the cluster I found that it is not the small white bulb with the hex head on the back its a larger bulb with an orange base and a "t" handle to twist it out. I ohmed it out and its definately the culprit. Does anyone know a p/n or a place to get this bulb? There appear to be only 2 of these type and a bunch of the smaller white-based ones.

Ugh, I have recent experience with this on two different cars. The charge around $4 or more per bulb.

There are at least three variations of the bulbs...difference is the wattage.

There is an olive-colored base, a blue-colored base and a tan-colored base. Which do you need?

These might be a dealer-only item...not certain.

This was definately an orange base and larger than the tan/white and not the blue or black I have seen on the other parts sites. I will check the dealership tomorrow and re-post.

Update on Dash Bulbs
 

here is the bulb I need, can't seem to find it. There are 2 of them with OS 12/2 w0N on the bulb.

I will let you know if I find it.

Just realized I can pull the bulbs out of the socket (duh) and that they are standard Sylvanias from the autoparts stores. Next time I'll try the obvious first!
