CD changer : hitch wiring
 

Question 1:
2000ml 320: When loading cds th3 changer reads cd 1 then the message "changer error, please check changer" Is this a common problem that can be fixed or does the changer need to be replaced ? ( Bose system )

Question 2:
Will the wire harness brake light system for a hitch from a 1998 ml 320 fit on a 2000 ml 320 ?

I have a 99 ML 320 that I've owned since new. I get CD loading errors but only in really cold weather. I just learned to live with it. First time I stop, I pull the cassette out of the changer, spin the disks a little bit with my finger, and re-load it.

Ditto on both. 99 ML430.

Sometimes certain discs work, sometimes they do not. All of my discs are burned. I find compilation discs especially problematic.
