2000 ML430 Fuel Filter Upgrade?
How can it be determined if the fuel lines have been upgraded to accept the new style fuel filter?
Does the fuel pump need to be upgraded at the same time? Thanks Eddie |

By the part number on the filter ON the truck.

Pump does not need to be upgraded or changed.
It helps to have seen upgraded and not upgraded.. The new filter is smaller. And there is a plastic fuel line "loop" that is added. It's all pretty hard to see though, behind the mud shield in the inner fender. A dealer could probably tell you if it was done by doing a VMI. Gilly
