? removing the interior panel on the rear hatch of an ML430
I have not been able to find help on removing the interior panel on the rear hatch of an ML430 to be able to access and replace the lock actuator. I saw a reference to pictures that might be posted. Thanks.

2 small plastic rivets on the top corners near the window glass.
Small phillips screw near the inner handle, then the handle surround come off by pushing it in the direction of the window glass. Remove panel from around 3rd stop light (as if you needed to replace the stoplight bulb) Pull out on the lower part of the panel, there are about a dozen plastic clips, some will undoubtedly break, but are a seperate part, might need to buy a few of them. The panel won't pull out from the lower edge of the glass, once the clips are all loose you then push the entire panel up, in the direction of the rear window, and the panle will come loose from the upper edge. Gilly
