whats your preffered year range? From the looks of your fleet I'd say a 124 300TE (m103) based vehicle would fit in well.

I'm not sure on availability. Perhaps a E320T (m104 variant). They should be able to be had under 10k

I'd steer clear of the 210 chassis stuff, spring perch and harness issues during certain years....

Considering which forum this is - I think he means a G Wagon - I could be wrong though.

If you're looking for a Mercedes wagon then your price range will give you plenty of options. Late model E320s are quite nice (94,95) but I don't know too much about them reliability wise.

If you're looking for a Gwagen at that price you're options are going to be limited to early 80s examples that are most likely not very good condition.

Get a facelift S210, i.e. 2001-2003. You can get a reliable 4Matic in these and not in a W124. The V6 is WAY better than the old inline 6, too. Built-in telephone is possible as well.

I have had both a w124 and a w210 wagon and I would suggest the w210. Steer clear of a w210 that has spent its life in the rust belt and you should be ok, also 4matics have stronger spring perches from what I have heard. I loved my 95 e320 wagon but they do have a lot of expensive potential problems such as head gasket failure and evaporator core leaks.

I prefer the 124 4-M. The 210 4-M doesn't have a spring perch. The spring is captured on the shock.

If your looking for a Gwagon your going to have to spend at a minimum $30k to get a half way decent 2002 model, I would very strongly recommend buying a 2005+ model though. The electronics and the early ones are a bit dodgy and can quickly eat up the difference in repairs.

$10k isn't very realistic unless your looking for a very rough older gray market import. $30k-$60k is about right.

Fantastic trucks in every respect, the mechanicles are tough as can be and won't give you any trouble.

There were also C-Class wagons/estates, some with 4matic.

Do you mean wagon, as in station wagon, wagon as in G-waggen, or "wagon" as in SUV/fake-off-roader/trucklet?
