98 ML320 Engine Light on and missing
 

Hi Group,
For the past two years I've had on and off bouts where my engine light would come on and it would run rough/miss and a few days later the light would go off and the miss would stop. This happens about twice a year. I put maybe 5-10k on it a year. Without me having to spend $100 right away for A dealer diagnostics, does one have any ideas what the problem may be?

With ODB2 anyone with scanner can read code.

Many parts stores do that for FREE.

Again the engine light went off and runs smooth. But will change plugs as it's been four years since the last change.
