Someone bought a Gwagen
Howdy All,
Looking at Kiesermotors web site I noticed that a red 280GE had been sold. Was that bought by a forum member?¿ I would like to get their thoughts of the vehicle and the buying experence. Thanx |
I can't tell you much about the 280 but I bought my current G from Norm. I made the mistake of buying sight unseen. Everybodys vision of perfect is different. Norm was very straightforward and addressed any issues I had with the truck. I think he is fair and does a good job with the G. I know of a couple other satisfied buyers as well. Besides he is about the only one in the US with inventory. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend buying from Norm.

Howdy Brent,
Thanx for the info. At this point in time it looks like that is the place I wll do business with. I had my eye on that 280 so I am curious about it. I would like to be in a GW in May:) |
I assume you are looking at the white LWB with a four speed. The ad says it was restored, have you asked about it yet? Did Europa do the resto? Did they do the driveline or was it just cosmetic? It looks pretty clean, the alloy wheels and flares are a plus on an early one like that. Let me know what you find out about it.

Again!¡
Howdy All,
Somebody went and bought another Gwagen I had my eye on. Come on give me a break:rolleyes: |
The eyes are out there...
Hey Frank -
I've been watching Norm's site for several months now as well, as I contemplated trying to import my own (which I almost did, and I do see value in it, but the best way appears to be to travel over there and inspect/arrange yourself). I am planning on bringing in a 1980 G on the cheap as my 2nd G once they are 25 years old to avoid federalization. I've had my eyes on a couple of Norm's G's as well, and sure enough, they've disappeared too! Hopefully were not hunting in the same field (it doesn't sound like we are)! Good luck w/your search. |
Howdy Brent & Koly,
I have to look for something that is Cal. certified.(whatever that requires) The 81?¿ for $19,000 isn't. I haven't checked into Cal. cert. When I started looking I had a nice selection of G's that were cert. so I didn't give it much thought. Well onward. Brent how is the work on the 416 going?¿ |
