G320 Experiences

Does anyone has a G320 and could tell me about their experiences?

I have a '95 G320. I have had lots of experiences with it, what would you like to know? I will throw out a few things, let me know what else you are curious about.

IMO the 320 is the least powerful G I would consider for a daily driver. Mine has enough oomph to pull my 3000lb boat and 4500lbs of racecar and trailer on occasion. It will effortlessly cruise at 80 mph for hours if you like. The 320 inline six has a great snarl to it.

The M104 engine in any application has a reputation for leaking headgaskets. Once the part has been replaced, it is fixed by all accounts, permanently. I can't think of any other common maladies. The truck is supremely reliable.

It is built like a tank. The doors slam like those of a bank vault, very solid. the quality of materials is like the MB of old. The paint finish is excellent. Can you tell I like the truck?

They are an absolute blast if you take them off-road. Click on the titles on top of the page to see the G in various off-road venues. http://homepage.mac.com/bwinterholm

Thanks G-Man! I am looking to add a 2nd daily driver for my wife. The ML just had too many problems, but never broke down in traffic. I love how solid the 'G' feels.

I was out shopping for a used car for the wife yesterday and became very unfriendly with all the salesperson I had spoken with. Everyone seems to think, that because I drive a S Class I
didn't know about used cars or "this guy will pay any price". There are too many not care for cars on dealers lots.

Thanks Again,
