Access dash light bulbs? 2000 ML320
 
2000 ML320. Need to replace a light bulb in dash. My arms are not long enough or flexible enough to reach. What's the trick?

Removal of the plastic trim around the cluster & then removing tha screws that hold the cluster to the dash.

Could you explain just a little how to remove the trim? I can get the beige panel on the right underside of the cluster off & most of the cluster trim is loose. It's the left side beige panel i can't get clear. Thanks:)

Without removing the panel the black bezel clip can not be released and slid down. The panel will not clear the steering assy by 3/8"

With the excellent help from some great guys on Benzworld, I got it apart. The trick is to remove the top panel of the steering column first. Then the R&L panels come off easily to access the bezel.
