Door lock problem 2002 ML320

Seems my rt rear door lock knob dropped into the panel.Wife pushed it down because it was machine gunning and wanted to manually lock the door.How hard is it to change that actuator and is that the problem.Can they be repaired.Thanks also any tips on removing the door panel will be appreciated.

Changed door lock actuator and door locks fine.I have trouble with the handle the two screws loosen the handle spring piece but I have no good spring tension.Am I missing something or not adjusted properly or is it the spring part is weakened....

Door lock problem 2002 ML320

Hey guys, a dumb question. I cant lock my drivers door by pushing the button down. It will lock w/ the key after its closed only. Is this designed like this? If not, what is wrong?
