GL450 Power Steering Leak
Hey guys, I am new over here but been over on the Pelican side for years.
Got a leak on a GL450 that is coming from something power steering related. The rack seems dry except where the line enters. Are those seals sold and replaceable? The pump seems to have a drip from it but I can't figure out if its the pump or the lines or both. I know its not the actual line that is leaking but instead just the ends. Are the seals on the ends replaceable? |

GL's, ML's, and R's are notorious P/S fluid leakers. The three most common problems are the fluid reservoir seal, the radial shaft seal in the control head, and the pump itself. I use UV dye to pinpoint the exact source of the leak. Its never failed me.

Thats a really good idea. I will clean it up and put a little dye in there from the parts store.

You don't need to clean it up yet. If it's a leak on the pressure side of the system you'll see it quite easily!
